Description

Our friends at the Center for Constitutional Rights are cosponsoring an important exhibit of Art from Guantanamo. This amazing exhibit is running from October 2nd through January 26th. Eight former and current detainees, including CCR clients Djamel Ameziane and Ghaleb Al-Bihani, show select pieces of artwork at this exhibit. Over 30 works are displayed, including drawings, paintings, and three-dimensional works crafted from the few materials permitted to detainees, including model ships made from parts of shirts, prayer caps, razors, and mops. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except closed on Jan. 1st and 15th.  It's in the President's Gallery on the 6th floor of Haaren Hall.
